Presenting information to a group of people has evolved over the years. Before, in ancient Rome until probably early during the last century, someone who relays in information have to speak very loudly because that is the only way they can inform the public. Of course this strain on a speakers’ throat has ended when the microphone was invented. It makes a good combination with the blackboard when presenting lessons to students and other kinds of people.
Of course today the norm is to use PowerPoint projectors. These PowerPoint projectors are useful replacements for blackboards since the presenter does not have to make the effort to write things on a board. The potential of a PowerPoint projector is more realized when a report is presented over and over again. Time is saved. Energy is saved. Chalk is saved.
